Fringe Skating Snowman

Trying to stay ahead of the game this week so getting this challenge done ASAP. I've got Stamping workshop on Wednesday night and gotta have my cards done by Tuesday pm in order to get them all done this month. Anyway, I guess blue, black and white are going to be my Christmas card colors this year...second card with that scheme. This one is Baja Breeze tho! :) Snowflake panel was stamped in versamark and embossed with glittery EP (doesn't show up well in the photo). The "fringe" is some feathery ribbon that I've had for years...trimmed it a bit to fit the card. Thought it kinda looked like icicles. The image is a Studio G stamp and the sentiment is from a Studio G clear set. Colored with prismamarkers with Icicle stickles on the ice. Think that about covers it. Oh yeah, layout is from Get Sketchy (GS#7). TFL and aloha!

Spooktacular Mambo Kiwi Kiss

Day 211 - Super Sketchy Sunday
Not the best picture, but the best of the ones I took...Anyway, this is for today's sketch. Also used the Corrosive Challenge by Janet #31 (CCBJ31) to use Melon Mambo and Kiwi Kiss...I hope using the black and white were okay too...TFL!

Days 206, 208, 209 & 210

Day 206 - Tuesday Triplets
Think I got this one...just thought...is it okay to have one panel?!? Oh well, this is also for my personal challenge of making a Christmas card a week (missed last week, so need to make two in one of the coming weeks!). Deets:
  • Paper: Soft Sky, Basic Black, Whisper White
  • Images: Studio G Clear $1 stamps
  • Ink: Palette Noir
  • Other: basic silver wrapping cord, rhinestone stars

Below is my card for the Day 208 - Challenge Combo, (I'll list all of them below), as well as for the There's Magic in the Air - Magical Monday - ribbon and bow.

FRONT: FRONT WITH FLAP CLIPPED UP:

INSIDE:
355 Challenges used:
  1. Day 3: Tuesday's Trio (button/flower/ribbon or button/bow/ribbon) - think I got both of these with flowers on the front and one on inside, the ribbon for the bow, the bow, and the button on the inside
  2. Day 14: DIY (flower embellishment made out of paper) - I may have not quite met this one as I used punched flowers on the front and on the inside)
  3. Day 27: Touchy Feely Friday (3 methods of texture) - the flap is embossed with a cuttlebug folder, the frame is popped up and the flowers and brads are attached
  4. Day 31: I'm Rounding the Corner (rounded corners/edges) - corners of card and flap are rounded
  5. Day 35: Ad Inspired - click on link to see the ad...I was inspired by the flowers on the bedspread
  6. Day 76: Four Corners (embellishments in four corners only) - Did this on the front -- I didn't count the eyelets or picture turn as embellishments as they are functional - the eyelets bind the flap to the frame and the turn is a closure
  7. Day 100: Manic Monday (use red, orange, yellow, green, blue (no pastels)) - think I got this one with the patterned paper on front, the solid colors used throughout
  8. Day 102: Combo Challenge (at least one challenge from March, April, and May) - see above I have at least one challenge from each of these months
  9. Day 105: Sing-along Saturday - Rainbow Connection (be inspired by this song) - Rainbow paper!
  10. Day 118: I've Been Framed (use a frame on card) - yellow frame for the window
  11. Day 124: DIY: Computer Generated (something generated from computer on card) - the image on the inside is a digital image from There's Magic in the Air and the quotation was printed from the computer
  12. Day 125: It's a Snap (some kind of closure on/for card) - the picture turn on the frame hold the flap closed
  13. Day 130: That Tickles Me (humorous card) - I thought the quote from George Carlin was funny...
  14. Day 135: On the Outside Looking In (window on card) - used an transpency to make the window
  15. Day 137: I'm in a Bind (bind 2 pieces together) - flap is bound to the frame with eyelets
  16. Day 138: She said, and I Quote (use a quotation on card) - Quote on the back of the flap is from George Carlin
  17. Day 152: Peek-a-Boo to You (have a fun flap on card) - blue piece is the flap and hides both the quote and a peek at the inside image!
  18. Day 155: Super Sketchy Sunday - click to see the layout...got pretty close to the true layout

Material deets:

  • Paper: Whisper White, some random rainbow patterned paper, Summer Sun, Pacific Point, Real Red, acrylic transparency
  • Image: Eldon the Caterpillar is from There's Magic in the Air (see link above) - colored with prisma colored pencils and OMS
  • Ink: NONE!

  • Image: Changito the Monkey and Changito Dos (Stampendous) - colored with prismamarker; the leaves were stamped and embossed with clear EP

  • Other: hemp twine, eyelet

  • Ink: River Rock
  • Other: Making Memories brads

[Spooky]

This is my card for Day 207 - DIY Patterned Paper at 365 Cards. I also used the MOJO105 layout and the SCS CC235. Deets:
  • Paper: Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, and Basic Black (whisper white was used for the main image); Background paper was handmade by repeatedly stamping the [spooky] sentiment in versamark and embossing with clear ep.
  • Image: All Hallow's Eve (Inkadinkado) - getting some use out of this set!, [spooky] (Hampton Art @ Mike's)
  • Ink: Versacolor: Boysenberry, Heliotrope, Black, versamark (for the spiderweb and the background) - I've been in a sponging mood so used this for the background on the image panel and to darken the bg panel edges
  • Other: Little ribbon spool (don't know about this one), circle punches for the scallops at the bottom

I also wanted to apologize to everyone that I haven't taken the time to leave comments on your blogs...I truly appreciate all the ones you leave for me, but between work, getting my card done, and needing to sleep, I haven't had time to leave comments on your creations :( Though I admit that I blurk a bit and get inspired! Thanks for continuing to inspire me and I will try to get better about letting you know how much I like all that you do! Mahalo!

Day 205 - Color Scheme

Below is my submission for the Color Scheme challenge at 365 Cards based on the scheme above. :) CASE'd Michelle Zindorf's Autumn Day card/tutorial. Layout came from SCS SC247 .
Deets:
  • Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Parisian Breeze DSP, whisper white (for image)
  • Image: Fall Season (inkadinkado)
  • Ink: Versacolor Paprika, Marigold, Burgundy, Sand Beige, Brown, Pinecone, Sky Blue, Lagoon Blue - leaves in the foreground were stamped with the first three colors and embossed; the next two colors were brayered on for the ground, the post-it mask was removed and the tree was stamped in brown with the leaves colored in with a real red marker, then embossed; the sky was brayered and sponged in the last two colors; the Pinecone color was sponged around the edge; on the really rust layer another leaf flourish was stamped with versamark ink
  • Other: dark yellow satin ribbon, picture turns

TFL and Aloha!
