Days 246- 252 @ 365 Cards

Please be prepared this is a LONG post as I wanted to catch up for the whole week at 365 Cards. I also used many other challenges but will indicate those under the appropriate days at 365. Thanks for looking and I hope you make it to the end! As always, if you want any details about how I did something or materials used, please leave a comment and I'll either post the info and/or send you an email answer. Aloha!

Got the idea for the poinsettias from Robyn and her card for Day 243 at 365. I don't have a Slice so I used the SU! 5 petal flower punch, Spring Blossoms punch, and 3 Heart punch to make my flowers. Got the idea for the punched sentiment window from Pam at 365. Other challenges used for this one:
Stampin B's #31 - Make a Christmas card.  In case you're interested, here's the inside of the card:

Also used the following challenges for this one:
~ Pile It On - #22 (Thank you) and #23 (Fall - leaves)
~ SPCC #22 -
~ FTL #67
~ Cuttlebug Spot #55
~ Our Creative Corner - inspiration challenge

Day 248 - Imagine This: Feathers
Okay, didn't have feathers for this one, but figured Pam used "feathery fibers" on her sample so I could too! Other challenges:
~ Flutter By Wednesday #82
~ Card Patterns #40

Okay, as a child of the 80's this was fun for me! This one actually needs some explanation. Not only is it 80's inspired (colors) but the "Happy Birthday" stamp is ACTUALLY from the 80's!! Many weekends of my childhood were spent at craft/art shows with my father's woodworking business and of course, I had to support our fellow crafters! So often I would spend the WHOLE weekend scoping out things I wanted to buy, I'm sure I did this for this stamp and saved money as it was unmounted. So having the father in woodworking I asked for a block to mount it on...this is where I think it got lost until earlier this year when my dad found it and sent it to me! Of course, it is very nicely mounted on a well sanded block! :) Thanks DAD! Thought it would be appropriate for this challenge (not sure I'll use it any other time, not really my style anymore!). Other challenges for this one:
~ Tuesday Morning Sketches  #18

This is the artist I was trying to remember when my mom did this card for the mosaic challenge, but I couldn't remember the name (guess that art history class 15 years ago didn't last...). Anyway, while I loved my mom's technique, I didn't want to take the time to find the stamps to use, so I used paperscraps from the other Christmas cards I've been making and created this one. Other challenges:
~ Get Sketchy #13
~ Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - Winter-theme (with sparkle and ribbon) - hard to tell but some of the papers have glitter on them
~ Stampin' B's - Christmas card

I've been using a lot of red and pink on cards lately so went with that on this one. Got this cute stamp from my first challenge winning! Other challenges:
~ Stampin' B's - Christmas card

Okay, been watching Gloria and Rose break the rules left and right on these challenges, looked like fun, so I decided to join them!! The challenge on this one was to not decorate the white space, well, I didn't really embellish it, just used patterned paper and tried to make it look like a tree (hard to tell but it's cut in strips to give it a layered look). Oh well, it was the last card I made yesterday (see 6 above!) so my mojo was hitting the skids. Other challenges:
~ Stampin' B's - Christmas card

Anyway, hope you made it all the way through and thanks for looking! Hope you have a wonderful week. Aloha!
