365 Cards - Day 107 & D2D Challenges Reminder

Aloha and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday with 365 Cards and Designed2Delight!! I first wanted to thank you all for your wonderful comments on last week's cards! It had been awhile since I did more, what I think of as, "artistic" cards and I think I need to do some more! :) So today's challenge at 365 Cards is to be inspired by the upcoming summer blockbuster "Green Lantern". Well, I'm not really into superheros so I again went for a more literal translation and used lanterns on my card! I also threw in a little Old Olive to honor the "green"! So the deets: the stamps are SU! Kimono Kids which are colored with copics to match the SU! Haiku DSP (retired). The So Saffron twill ribbon and metal brads are also SU! as is the sentiment stamp.

The other challenges I was inspired by for this one include:
1. Aly's Sunday Challenge - kids
2. Crafts and Me - stamp something
3. Creative Card Crew - ribbons and brads
4. Drunken Stampers - orange
5. My Time To Craft Challenge - xtra images (more than 1 image)
6. Our Creative Corner - pick 2 elements from the inspiration photo: I used the colors and the circles
7. Scrap-Creations - anything goes
8. Stamp Something - something punch: the circles are all SU! punches
9. Taylored  Expressions Sketch Challenge - sketch
10. The Crafty Pad - just because you can
11. Oldie but a Goodie - Where in the World (inspired by a country): I think I've got Japan pretty covered on this one!
Next up is my sample for the challenges this week at Delightful Inspiration/D2D. I was again able to combine the progressive challenge freebie (Mary, Mary) with the Saturday Challenge ("Goin' Buggy"). Although the Mary, Mary stamp doesn't have any bugs in it, I used some butterflies and bees from other images (Bloom, Grow, Dream set & Garden Party)!!! Easy peasy!!
Here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. BasicGrey Challenges - hot pink, lime green, and brown/kraft: my paper are BG (June Bug and Olivia, if I remember correctly!)
2. By The Cute And Girly - in the garden
3. Frosted Designs - stitching: I've got "faux" stitching all around the layers!
4. If The Shoe fits... Scrap It! - pearls
5. i{heart}2stamp/Sketch for you to Try: sketch
6. Meljens Design Team and Challenge: Pink and pearls
7. Order of the Opus Gluei  - girl things
8. Sassy Studio Designs - stitching
9. There's Magic In The Air - pick two: Flowers, ribbons, pearls/gems, and/or die cut: I've got 3 of the 4!
10. Totally Gorjuss - flowers
11. Totally Stampalicious - anything goes
12. Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - free and easy
13. Stamp with fun - Pearls and flowers
14. Crafty Ho’s Challenge Blog - bright and cheery colors

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are able to play along in this week's challenges too!
Aloha,

Love, Love, Love your inspired Green Lantern card! The long and narrow style is perfect and your coloring, as always, is gorgeous. Would make a lovely wedding card.

And Mary, Mary looks like me yesterday watering my flower garden even though we had some rain! Actually, tip toeing is not a favorite sport anymore :(

Lovely cards Kim, can't wait till next Wednesday to see what you create next - oh wait - maybe this week-end you'll do a freebie for us!

Love, SAM aka MOM
ps sorry this is late, I slept till 5AM!

What lovely cards you've made! Your first one is so clever, I think I like it more than if you had forced yourself to think only superhero - this is witty and pretty! Your gardening goddess is adorable, I only hope that I look half as cute watering my flowers! Very girly and perfect for the Opus Gluei challenge. I hope that you return for more fun with us, thanks for participating.
