Aloha and welcome to my last "wonderful Wednesday" with 365 Cards!! Yes, it is with a heavy heart that I'm resigning my DT position with this wonderful team at this end of the 365 Cards year. As with many of us, my "real life" has gotten in the way of my "fun life" and for now I must devote more attention to the former. Hopefully things will balance out soon and I'll be able to return to this awesome team in the future, but for now I bid "aloha"!
So my last creation is one of my favorites! This week the challenges will be to 'scraplift' the DT member's card. I went back to one of the first techniques I got into when I really got into stamping which is brayering. If you haven't checked out Michelle Zindorf's great blog with hundreds of tutorials on using this and so many other ink/stamping techniques you should definitely rush over there. I have scraplifted many of her cards and I hope my card inspires you just to a small degree of what she does for me! One difference from Michelle, I do use pigment ink for my brayering (Michelle uses dye inks) as I like the coverage and blending better...I do sometimes heat gun the colors so they don't blend quite so much. The stamps used on this one are from the SU! set "Asian Artistry" which is another of my favorites...that's the Asian theme. The sentiment is from that set too, but I typed and printed it out to fit in the 1 inch square. As always, here's some other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - favourite things: as I mentioned brayering and the Asian theme are favorites of mine
2. Crafty Sentiments - only 2 designer papers: Hard to tell but the small strip is a patterned paper
3. Fairy Tale Challenge blog - Spring
4. Frosted Designs - brads/eyelets: I used super small brads to attach the coins to the square panels
5. Lollipop Crafts - anything goes
6. One Stop Craft Challenge - create your own background
7. Paper Pretties - Spring
8. Simply Create Too - add sunchine to your day
9. Stamptacular Sunday Challenge- charm me
10. The Crazy Challenge - die or punch: used both for the squares
11. the sweetest thing... - sketch
12. Truly Scrumptious - all creatures great and small
Aloha!

Oh, your last 365 post makes me sad too! I have looked forward to every Wed. morning to see what you have created for us. Makes me even sadder that your 'other life' has taken over your time. It's just that you are so darn good at what you do, whether it be creating or work.
But this is a perfect good bye card from you to us. The sentiment is so perfect and I have always loved your cards with the brayering technique. Love the colors, the image, the sketch, the charms, and you!
It's not good-bye for us though coz I'll be talking to you soon, maybe tonight!
As always, Love, Mom
