365 Cards - Day 72 & D2D sketch

Aloha and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday at 365 Cards and D2D challenges! This week at 365 Cards is sketch week!! Check at out the 365 Cards blog to see what mine was...did you go...what do you think did I capture it?!? :) Anyway, we're getting to use super cute images from Whimsie Doodles this week and I colored the little scientist girl up with my copics. You may not be able to tell it but I did add a bit of glassy accents to the test tube, beaker and glasses, along with a little bit of stickles. The patterned paper is a retired SU! pack called Rainbow Sherbet. My card and image base is a bit of Pale Plum. So here' the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. Colour Create Challenge Blog - Aqua, Green, Purple, and White + optional glitter
2. Crafty Creations Challenges - Anything goes
3. Digi’s with attitude! Challenge #25 - funny sentiments
4. If The Shoe fits... Scrap It! - green
5. Paper Pretties - add texture
6. Phindy’s Friday challenge - embossing
7. Stampin' B's Design Team - use flower soft, liquid applique, or glitter
8. Do you Stack up - Purple

Next us is my sample for this week's challenges at D2D. This week's challenge is to use the sketch by Carly and make it feminine. I also used this week's freebie, Pail of Flowers, from Faith, it's the first one of the month and you still have until Thursday night to get this free!
I printed it up on watercolor paper and colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. Added a bit of texture with distressing and weaving of the patterned papers (SU! Le Jardin DSP) and blinged it up with a pearl swirl. And the little butterfly is my mom (see mom, I do listen, I used a butterfly on my card!). Here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. 2 Sisters Challenge Blog - distressing
2. Claudia & Company - butterfly
3. Creative Card Crew - May flowers
4. Delightful Inspiration - freebie
5. Everybody-Art-Challenge - flowers
6. Kaboodle Doodles Challenge - lots of layers
7. My Time To Craft Challenge - scallops
8. Our Creative Corner - wonder of weaving
9. Pear Tree Designs - spring
10. The Crafty Pad - pearls & swirls

Aloha,
