Designed2Delight! Today's challenge at
365 Cards is to use this ad form
Pier 1 for inspiration. I got to pick the ad and I thought this one was perfect for the heat of summer which most of us are getting into now!
And here's my card...
My colors are a bit more muted than the inspiration photo but still along the same lines...it's Cosmo Cricket "Early Bird", btw. I was also inspired by that zig-zag pattern on the tablecloth so I re-created that with a border punch I had and layered them on cream cardstock. So how will you be inspired by the ad?!? Oh yeah, here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:

Next up is my sample for this week's Saturday challenge at Delightful Inspirations/D2D. It's Debbie F's birthday this week and she challenged to make something for a birthday.
I supersized Faith's "
Birthday Brew" image (it's about 5x7" total) and then made a fun pull out with the sentiment! I added a small white card to the back of the mug that says "Make a Wish!" This thing is also glitzed out with glassy accents on the ENTIRE mug (my hand was cramped after that!) and stickles on the foam and candle flame. Oh yeah, it was colored with copics too. Here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:

I love Wednesday mornings when I can check out what you have been up to in the card making world! Love the bright colors of the ad and the cookies and milk image is making me soooo hungry, it is soooo cute! Love your ho-made chevron pattern, so clever.
And the beer mug is absolutely the best use of a digi that I have seen! I never think to supersize (unless I'm ordering fast food te-hee!) but this shape is perfect and I love the pull tab. How many bottles of glassy accent did you use? I enlarged it to see upclose all your hard work and gotta say it's perfect - don't see one tiny little bubble in that glaze!
