Aloha and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday with 365 Cards and D2D!! This week at 365 Cards were are sponsored by the super AWEsome, Gloria S!! She's our former teamie and we miss her something awful, but are so THRILLED that she's able to sponsor us again! And she's playing along!! YAY! I love me some Gloria vintage-y creations!! So here's my take on today's "Vintage + Blue" challenge. The image is from D2D and I paper pieced it with some Daisy D's Lullaby Boy paper! The sentiment and its frame are SU! stamps as is the Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon and bashful blue gingham (which I distressed with crumb cake ink). Oh yay, the buttons are SU! too! WHEW! Here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. Anything Goes Challenge Blog - happy birthday/celebration: I'm celebrating someone's baby!
2. Catch The Bug Challenge Blog - distressed/shabby chic
3. Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - Emboss it: I dry embossed the Crumb Cake panel behind the image
4. Do you Stack up - emboss it
5. Sketch for you to Try - sketch
6. Speedy the Cat’s Friends Challenge - distress
7. Papertake Weekly Challenge - bingo (buttons, ribbon, free)
8. Phindy’s Friday challenge - vintage
9. pile it on - blue, blue, blue
10. Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge: boys will be boys + buttons/brads
11. Pollycraft Monday Challenge - distressing
12. Sassy Studio Designs - distressing
13. Simply Create - time to distress
14. Try it on Tuesday - anything goes
15. Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - anything goes
Next up is my sample for this week's Saturday Challenge at D2D. This week we were to use Pink and Black mostly. Well, gotta say I love the combo and used it to make this fun birthday card!
I got the idea for the balloons from Faith's Beach Birthday image but I had this fun punch that I'd used so I busted it out for this one (plus I like the bucket with the hearts!). The paper is from Basic Grey Olivia and reminds me of water drops. Image is colored with Copics and I added a bit of starburst pen in the "ocean". A few rhinestones on the edges finished it off with the ribbon. Here's some other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. A Spoon Full of Sugar - happy birthday
2. BasicGrey Challenges - sizzling summer
3. Card Makin’ Mamas - birthday cards
4. Craft Your Days Away Challenge - birthdays
5. Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog - scallops/fancy borders: kinda are to see but the pink strips behind the image panel are edged with a wave dot border punch
6. Crafty Sentiments - punches/die cuts
7. Everybody-Art-Challenge - summer
8. Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge - use a lot of your favorite embellie: I like rhinestones!
9. INKY IMPRESSIONS CHALLENGES - birthday
10. Meljens Design Team and Challenge: use black
11. One Crazy Stamper - fun in the sun
12. One Stitch At A Time Challenge - anything goes
13. One Stop Craft Challenge - at the beach
14. Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog - bling
15. The Deconstructed Sketch - sketch
16. Wags ‘n Whiskers - sparkly
Well, that's it for this week! Hope you get inspired to play along with these challenges! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
