365 Cards - Day 241 - Scavenger Hunt
Welcome to another wonderful Wednesday at 365 Cards!! Today Pam is sending us on a scavenger hunt around to find things to use on a card that you normally wouldn't. Looking around my house I found these carpet hearts that came from my puppy's food and water bowl mat (see pic below). When I bought the mat,, the hearts weren't quite punched out all the way so I grabbed'em to use on this card!
I got to use the super cute Cocoa in a box image from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps which I thought went really well with the fuzzy hearts! Here's a picture of the inside that finishes the sentiment on the front...

Here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. A Spoon Full of Sugar - die cutting/punches: not only where the hearts originally die cut from the carpet (guess I can't claim credit for that though), the picture corners and edge on the inside were cut with punches
2. allsorts challenge blog - spot and stripes: the stripes are obvious, but it may be harder to see that the green paper is actually dotted and I added glitter to those too!
3. Bee Crafty - Christmas + digi image
4. clean&simple - sketch
5. Crafty Cardmakers - do something with a digital image other than print and color: I paper pieced the image and popped up the mouse's face
6. Crafty Creations Challenges - red, brown, and green
7. Creative Card Crew - punches: see above
8. Delightful challenges - It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas
10. digital tuesday challenge - non-crafting item + digi: see above
11. Mami Doodles: Digital Stamps - thanksgiving and Christmas cards
12. One Stitch At A Time Challenge - any celebration
13. Other Lovelies – Thoughtful Thursdays - letter H: Hearts
14. pile it on - holiday card using red/white/green + something soft: think my pieces of carpet are pretty soft!
15. Simon Says Challenge - punch'em: see above
16. The Crafty Pad - Christmas theme
Thanks for stopping by and can't wait to see what you find around the house to use on your card!

We're going to the dogs...
I made 3 cards for a co-worker that's moving into another position within our organization. True, she's not totally leaving but those of us that were working with her on a daily basis will definitely miss her. So I made some cards to show her that. She's a dog lover (she has 3 of her own and is part of a local dog training organization too) so the choice of images was pretty easy (all are from Meljen's). :) Here they are and the challenges I was inspired by for each:
1. Crafty Cardmakers - use something you got for free: I got the dog bone template for the card base for free on-line
2. Flourishes - anything goes but buttons and bow
3. Frosted Designs - die cuts: the image, mat and sentiment panel are all die cut
4. Lots To Do - easel or shaped card
5. Paper Makeup Stamps - don't be square
6. Simple Doodles - shape it out
7. The Sweet Stop - sketch...we'll very loosely based on this sketch :)
8. Totally Gorjuss - sparkle
1. Aly's Sunday Challenge - distressed
2. Challenge up your life - easel card
3. I Did it Creations Challenge - "surprise me"
4. Mark's Finest Papers – Speedy the Cat’s Friends Challenge - use die cuts/punch
5. Meljens Design Team and Challenge: anything goes
6. Sentimental Sundays - distressing + sentiment
7. The Crazy Challenge - tons of shapes
8. the sweetest thing... - sketch
1. For Fun Challenges - red, brown, and cream
2. INKY IMPRESSIONS CHALLENGES - add flowers
3. Tuesday Throwdown - anything goes
Thanks for stopping by!
