Snowball Fight Ornament

Aloha! Although we don't get a lot of snow in Hawaii, I still love snowmen! (I hear you scoffing, yes, it snows in Hawaii. On the mountain peaks of the Big Island it can snow quite a bit and they even have winter weather advisories there! It's the only place in the world you can snowboard and snorkel in the same day!) I've been playing with this image for the last week and finally came up with this ornament. The ornament base is from the local Ben Franklin Crafts store (no Hobby Lobby or Michael's here) for just a $1. The box part is about 3x4" and about 1/2" deep. I printed the image 4 times and layered it with pop dots. Here's a picture more from the side so you can see the layers...
The sky is colored with copics as is the other parts of the image. Put some little rhinestone "stars" in the sky and one for the tree topper. Just realized that I should've used one of the sentiments from this set to finish it off...maybe I'll go back and do that!

Here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. Lots To Do - Friends/Friendship: although these guys are having a snowball fight, they look like they're friends too!
2. Mami Doodles: Digital Stamps - fuzzy: The fur on the hats and cuffs of the gloves are flower soft
3. Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - alter something: The ornament was plain white before...I added the image inside and the patterned paper on the front
4. Saturday Challenge - sparkle and shine: I've got stickles all over, with vanilla smooch spritz on the snowflakes and rhinestones a plenty!
5. Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog - snowflakes
6. The Crafty Pad - Christmas sparkle: see above

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back on Wednesday to see my card for Wink Wink Ink week at 365 Cards!
Aloha,

Showed this to your dad and he is so impressed that you are keeping the trend of 'shadow boxing' in our family! Love the layers, so much detail and time but it is well worth it! Have a great day...
