365 Cards - Day 135 & D2D "European Inspired"

Aloha and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday with 365 Cards and Designed2Delight! Ever wonder why I say "Wednesday" when the day on my post is Tuesday?!? Well, usually by the time I'm writing and posting this it's after midnight (i.e., early Wednesday morning) for half of the US so I figure that's close enough for the rest of you! :) Anyway, back to my post...this week at 365 Cards is "collage week" and Pam's giving us 3 three different things each day to use on our cards. For today, it's Chipboard, Patterned Paper, and Fringe. I think the only thing you may not be able to tell is that my big red flower is covered chipboard and I filled the center in with glassy accents and beads. And here's a {shout out} to my dear mother for the fabulous fringe ribbon! LOVE IT! I also jumped out of my "box" a bit and did "collage stamping" for my image panel. The stamps are an old SU! set, "Natural Beauty" and I'm not sure why I don't use it more! Love it too! I highlighted the bird stamp a bit by coloring it in with ink and a blender pen...the underlying ink actually ran a bit when I did this, hence why the bird ended up with a red wing! Here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. By The Cute And Girly - things with wings
2. Craft your passion challenges - just for you
3. Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - a vintage look
4. CREATIVE BELLI BLOG - custom made bellies: I'm counting my chipboard flower and the crochet flower for this (although I didn't make the crochet flower I did die it to match my card)
5. Digi Doodle Shop's Best - butterflies
6. Do you Stack up - chipboard
7. Eat Sleep Stamp - sketch
8. I Did it Creations Challenge - floral
9. Inky Impression Challenges - distressing: I did both roughing of the paper edges and using ink
10. Just Add Ink - basic black, cherry cobbler, very vanilla, and soft suede
11. My Time To Craft Challenge - bird watcher
12. Paper Romance Challenges - distressing
13. Scrap-Creations - at least 2 different Patterned Papers and at least 2 different embellishments
14. Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog - flowers
15. Stampin' for the Weekend - wings and things
16. The Friday Mashup! - flowers or vintage or both!

Next up is my sample for this week's D2D/Delightful Inspiration Saturday challenge. Karli wanted to see our "European Inspired" projects. I used Caring Kaela for mine (she reminded me of "Heidi" and that makes me think of Europe!). She's colored with copics and distressed a bit with ink. It's kinda hard to tell in this picture but this is a center step card (find toot on SCS here). The sentiment is from Verve stamps and the inside says a "very happy birthday."
Here's the other challenges I was inspired by for this one:
1. A Spoon Full of Sugar - pink and brown
2. Anything Goes Challenge Blog - more than one fold
3. Challenge up your life - 1 die (mine's the sentiment), 1 lace, and 1 brad (well I got two!)
4. Craft Us Crazy - distressed/vintage
5. Craft Your Days Away Challenge - fancy folds
6. Cute Card Thursday - lace
7. digital tuesday challenge - spellbound (use a die) + digi: see above
8. iCopic color challenge - all about birthdays
9. One Stitch At A Time Challenge - anything goes
10. The Crafty Pad - lots of texture
11. There's Magic In The Air - birthday card

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you can play in this week's challenges too!
Aloha,

What a perfectly wonderful, gorgeous collage card! Love the color combo and the 'old' SU! Stamp set look so good! Shelli should hire you for a designer! Your chipboard flower is so cool especially with the beads for the center. The vintage feel is something I always appreciate.

Like your take on the D2D European style, that is a hard one for me, I can't get the Eiffel Tower out of my head and I don't have that image!

Sorry posting so late. Storms blew through again last night and made it hard to sleep! Only lost one little tree limb.

Have a great day! Love, SAM aka MOM
