Catch up Saturday!

Day 193 - Card Recipe
This is my card following this recipe:

  • 5x5 size
  • 4 different patterned papers (hard to tell but the lion is on the 4th one)
  • 3 blossoms
  • 1 image
  • 5 rhinestones
  • sentiment (up to you)

Also submitting this for this week's There's Magic in the Air - Magical Monday Sketch which provide both the image and the layout. It was a lot of work to combine these two...well, at least for me it was :)

  • Papers: Safari Kids Matstack (DCWV) - thanks mom for this!!!, Kraft, and Night of Navy
  • Embellies: hemp twine to which the flowers were tied, rhinestones (can't remember who's these are), twisted black wire for mouse's tail
  • Other: image was colored with prisma markers

Day 194 - Imagine This: Technology This was a super quick little card (3x3). It's supposed to be a cellphone with a text to my mom :) How this inspires me you're wondering? Well, when I get stuck on a design, I call my mom and she helps me figure out what I should do!

  • Papers: basic black, tempting turquoise, whisper white, pink passion, and a brushed silver (except for the latter, these were all left overs from my Chantilly Lace card earlier this week...thought my mom would like these colors too)
  • Image: Cricut "locker talk" cartridge, text message was handwritten on
  • Embellies: bg is embossed with a cuttlebug folder

Day 195 - Pretty Pattern The pattern was gingham, so I colored the dress in such a pattern (not sure it's easy to tell in the pic). Used the layout from SCS SC245.

  • Papers: Kraft, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, So Saffron DSP
  • Image: Summer by the Sea (SU!) - including sentiment; colored with prisma markers, stamped with Palette Noir ink; cut out with Nesties
  • Embellies: flowers (from Making memories, I think), yellow brad

Day 196 - Just a Touch This one was hard as I wanted to color in the whole picture! But it's quicker doing it this way.

  • Papers: basic black, Sahara sand, whisper white
  • Image: Summer by the Sea (had it out for the one above and it fit this one too!), colored with prisma marker
  • Embellies: baby blue satin ribbon

Well, that covers it for today. I got further behind in the challenges this week, hopefully I'll stay up better next week. Think I will spend this evening prepping for that!

TFL and Aloha!

All of your cards are gre-e-e-at! (uh, That's Tony the Tiger saying that!) You're coloring is awesome and I really like the cell phone (although my own cell phone isn't so friendly now due to me spilling Latta all over it!) :( Anyways, you're welcome for the animal mat stack, I knew you would be creative with it. Till tomorrow!

Love, SAM aka MOM
