365 Cards - Day 24 - Terrific Ten!

Well, I must admit that when I got the notice for today's challenge for 365 Cards I was a bit flabbergasted! 10 patterned papers?!? I think I finally got my first personal experience on the DT of Pam and her "special coffee". And here I thought it was just a myth! Wow!

Oh well, fortunately I have a great sounding board in my wonderful mother so I was saved from jumping off a cliff! [here's a sample of the conversation... ME:"uhm, mom, what would you do to get 10 patterned papers on a card?" MOM: "you know I just saw something that you could probably use...check out this link" ME: "OMG, mom, you're such a lifesaver! The absolute bestest mom in the whole wide world, the bestest cooker, the bestest cleaner, the bestest [fill in the blank...on and on] (sorry you gotta know my mom and mine relationship to get the last part!))

Anyway, I was already thinking of a quilt which I'd done last year, but I liked the one on SCS as it's on an angle and included embossing which gives it even more texture! So while I would love to take the credit for this one...I can't! I spiced up the layout a bit, but overall it's fairly simple. I did keep it monochromatic to keep it even more simple! Here's the inside:
I think I should've worked on the scallops a bit on the inside as they look off, but they really are evenly spaced (well pretty closely at least!). Here's another challenge for this one Die-cut Dreams Challenge Blog - New Beginnings.

Okay, so that's your challenge for today and I can't WAIT to see what you guys come up with!! I'm sure there's some GREAT ideas floating around out there so get cracking!

Lastly, tonight was the deadline and drawing for my blog candy. Well, only 9 people followed the directions to be entered and the winner is....SUE W!!! YAY Sue!! Please email me your snail mail and I'll get that out to you. Thank you to all of you that entered! While I can't give you all the full prize I would love to send those that did enter a little something, so please send me your snail mails too and I'll get something to you!

Aloha and Mahalo everyone,

YES, a mother can live her dreams to be a great cardmaker through her daughter! I love, love, love giving you ideas and seeing what you do with it! You're awesome DD!

Your card is so appropriate for a new baby, just as sweet as it can be!

Now quit being so hard on yourself - that perfection streak is from your father ya know.

Have a great day, Love, SAM aka MOM
